The ink level displayed by BROTHER printers is stored in memory on the ink cartridge chips. This resetter will reset the ink level in memory on refillable cartridge chips back to full.

Please refer to the correct section for your printer model below:

LC3011, LC3013 cartridges (MFC-J491DW, MFC-J497DW, MFC-J690DW, MFC-J895DW printers): This chip resetter is mandatory when using Refillable Cartridges, as the chips will require a reset roughly ever 400 pages (at 5% page coverage). It is also possible to purchase the Refillable Cartridge + Resetter Bundle for BROTHER LC3013.

LC3017, LC3019, LC3029 cartridges (MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J5830DW, MFC-J5930DW, MFC-J6530DW, MFC-J6535DW, MFC-J6930DW, MFC-J6935DW printers): This chip resetter is not mandatory when using our Refillable Cartridges. However, you can use it if accurate ink level display is important to you.

Please note that this product will NOT reset original BROTHER chips. It will only work with refillable cartridge chips. We do not recommend refilling original BROTHER cartridges.
