This product contains 4 very big, easy-to-refill refillable cartridges for the BROTHER LC101, LC103, LC105, LC107, LC109, and many other cartridge series.

Filling these refillable cartridges is extremely simple: remove the plug, inject ink, and replace the plug.
The cartridges are much bigger than original Brother cartridges. They can fit up to 100ml of black ink or 80ml of color ink which means that you have to refill a lot less often.
This cartridge set requires that you install the chips from a set of four original Brother cartridges.
When using original chips, the printer will not display accurate ink levels. However, the printer will never stop you from printing thanks to its physical ink sensor. As long as the printer "sees" that there is in fact ink in the cartridges, you will be able to print. If you would like accurate ink levels to be displayed by the printer, consider our LC103-series chip resetter. In any case, since the cartridges are translucent, you can always know exactly how much ink you have left inside.
NOTE ON THE PRINTER'S DOOR:
If you have an MFC-J4310DW, MFC-J4410DW, MFC-J4510DW, MFC-J4610DW, MFC-J4710DW printer:
For these elongated cartridges to fit into the printer, the door will have to be removed. This is easy to do and is explained in detail in the product instructions. Once the door is removed, the door clip included with this product will depress the printer's door sensor so that the printer thinks the door is closed. For a refillable cartridge system that does not require that the door be removed, see our standard-size cartridges.
If you have any other printer model:
For these elongated cartridges to fit into the printer, the door will have to be removed. This is easy to do and is explained in detail in the product instructions. However, once the door is removed, you will need to depress the door sensor on the printer so that the printer thinks the door is closed. A Phillips screwdriver, a 4" nail, or even a brown plastic coffee stirring stick can all do a good job at depressing the door sensor so that the printer thinks the door is closed. See the picture to the right. Our instructions will show you how to access the printer's door sensor. Note that we also offer refillable cartridge system that does not require that the door be removed, see our standard-size cartridges for details.
