Automatic Firmware Updates affecting several HP OfficeJet models

List of affected models: HP OfficeJet Pro 251dw, 276dw, 6812, 6815, 6820, 6830, 6835, 8600, 8610, 8615, 8620, 8625, 8630, 8640, 8660, X476dn, X476dw, X551dw, X576dw

The HP printers listed above have the ability to automatically download and install firmware updates from HP's servers. Firmware updates can potentially interfere with the functionality of aftermarket chips, like the ones used on our refillable cartridges and on our compatible cartridges.

We constantly improve our chip designs to work with all the latest firmware versions. However, improvements to our designs will not affect chips that have already been sold and are in our customers' hands. Therefore, if you own one of these printer models, we recommend disabling automatic firmware updates.
